A Look Back: Remembering the Spokane Spokes

While we research potential US Open Cup history concerning the club, we thought we would share a story recently written by Rebecca Nappi and published by the Spokesman-Review about the Spokane Spokes, a team created by German-American immigrants that played from 1958 to 1978.

It is a great recount of some of atmosphere from the earlier days of the game in the United States, including a nice little story about the team's trip to play an Italian side in Canada.
